1991-92
ACB league
9th Regular League

The season begins with a new stage in the bench. Manuel “Manu” Moreno, coach from Taugrés, joins the club. Carlos Elejabeitia, a shooting guard from Tenerife, arrived from Malaga. Although he had been trained in the islands, he had played his entire professional career in Mayoral Malaga. They were not the only ones to join the team, as Javi Viguer came up from the youth teams. In addition, another important addition was Alfredo Fabón, a forward from CAI Zaragoza.
The backbone of the team continued in the third season with such important players as Salva Díez and José Luis “Indio” Díaz, the team's starting point guard and shooting guard. On the inside, the “bellwether” inside duo of Brad Branson and Larry Micheaux also continued, in Branson's fourth of six seasons and Micheaux's second of three. This would also be the last season of a historic player, Sergio Coterón, who would leave Pamesa Valencia for Gran Canaria in the First Division.
Despite the good feelings that the team transmits, we are not facing a year of great results, but we do have some significant moments. For example, the one in which Salva Díez set the record for assists in a game by a Valencia Basket player. It was on December 14, 1991, when in the 63-58 victory, the point guard achieved the magical figure of 15 assists against the team led by Joan “Chichi” Creus himself.
Or the victories in the Fonteta against the big teams of the League, as for example the game with two overtime against Montigalá Joventut, in which Larry Michaeux accumulated 26 points and 17 rebounds playing the 50 minutes that the game lasted. He was not the only one to bite the dust. Real Madrid with Biriukov, Mark Simpson and Ricky Brown also lost 78-73 with 32 points from “Indio” Díaz, and even FC Barcelona, led by Epi himself, lost 79-70 in La Fonteta with another great performance by Díaz, who scored 28 points with excellent percentages.
However, the good results against the big teams did not allow the team to reach Europe, and once again, the team was left at the doorstep, finishing ninth in the ACB.
